ParentLegal was founded by people who’ve lived it — the stress, the confusion, the courtroom battles.

We’ve been through complex family court cases ourselves. We’ve used legal professionals — and too often walked away feeling overcharged, under-served, and full of regret. Over time, it became clear: with the right support, we could have done a better job ourselves.

That realisation is what started it all.

At first, we helped other parents informally — through charity groups where emotional support was strong but practical help was lacking. We began drafting documents, sharing strategy, and helping people hold their own in court.

Then we saw the bigger picture.

Too many parents are being fleeced by the legal industry. Huge fees for generic advice. Poor communication. Long delays. The system is confusing, and support is either unaffordable or unhelpful. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we built one.
